I am a neuroscientist studying visual experience. How does the brain determine whether and how well we see something? How does it integrate different pieces of visual information to give us a coherent perceptual experience? And how does it do this in real time, even as visual input changes? I use a combination of human fMRI, M/EEG, psychophysics, and computation to study these questions.
I am currently an Assistant Professor of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Boston University, where I direct the Denison Lab.
I completed my postdoctoral training at NYU, advised by Marisa Carrasco and David Heeger. I received my Ph.D. from UC Berkeley, advised by Michael Silver.
