Open Positions

Postdoc positions available

Postdoctoral positions are available in Xiao-Jing Wang's research group (see our homepage) at the Center for Neural Science at New York University. Successful candidates are expected to play an active and independent role in one of our research areas. Our work focuses on the cellular and synaptic mechanisms of working memory, decision making and the role of prefrontal cortex in cognition. We emphasize close collaborations with experimental laboratories.

Candidates with a Ph.D. in neuroscience or physical sciences, and with strong background and interest in quantitative approaches to neurobiology, are encouraged to apply. Please send me a curriculum vitae and a brief description of fields of interest, and have three letters of recommendation sent to the following address. Whenever possible, please send materials by email.

Graduate positions available

We are recruiting motivated and talented students who wish to pursue Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience, an interdisciplinary field dedicated to understanding how the brain works using quantitative approaches (physics, engineering, mathematics). They will have an opportunity to undertake research at the cutting edge in collaboration between our theoretical lab and experimental labs. If you are interested, please contact Professor Wang by email.
