In tommorrow's meeting (2pm), I'll give an informal overview of
some recent thoughts and challenges on modeling statistical
properties of visual images.  A number of LCV members are
currently studying different aspects of this problem [Roberto,
Clementine, Patrik, Shani, Timothy], so I thought it'd be useful
to have a group discussion.  I'll describe some of the
observations that led me into this work 7 years ago, the key
results thus far, and some recent observations regarding the
amplitude, phase and orientation relationships of local filter
responses.
