smooth optical flow chip the smooth optical flow sensor estimates 2D optical flow in real-time. the
picture on the left shows a prototype chip (click image for a larger view) that
contains an array of 30x30 motion pixels by a size of roughly 4x4 mm^2 (0.8 micron BiCMOS technology). the sensor
provides not only the flow field but also the temporally adaptive and logarithmically compressed brightness image.
