This is a very intriguing response of a cell in layer 2+3.
Note how the preferred orientation of the cell seems to
drift continuously with time. At 50msec the response
peaks at aroud 120deg and then it drifts to the right, wraps
around 180deg, and emerges later from the left. By 85msec the
peak of the response is around 60 deg -- which is orthogonal
to the preferred orientation at the earlier times.
